# JDS Power, Inc. — Privacy Policy

**Effective date:** October 2, 2026
**Who we are:** JDS Power, Inc., 41718 Eastman Dr, Murrieta, CA 92562 · jon@jdspower.com

JDS Power designs, installs, and services solar, battery storage, generator, electrical, and low-voltage systems. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it. We keep it short because our practices are simple: we collect what we need to do the work, we don’t sell it, and you can ask us about it anytime.

## What we collect

**When you contact us or request a quote** — your name, email, phone, property address, utility information, and anything you tell us about your project.

**When you become a customer** — the above plus contract details, site photos and measurements, plans and permits, equipment serial numbers, and payment records. If your system includes monitoring, we receive production and performance data from the monitoring platform (for example Tigo or the inverter manufacturer’s portal).

**When you pay us** — payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment was made and the last four digits of the account or card; we do not store full card or bank account numbers. Stripe’s handling of your payment data is governed by [Stripe’s privacy policy](https://stripe.com/privacy).

**When you visit this website** — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We do not use advertising trackers.

## How we use it

– To design, price, permit, install, inspect, commission, and service your system.
– To bill you and keep accurate books, as the law requires.
– To file permits, interconnection applications, and incentive paperwork on your behalf with your city, county, and utility.
– To monitor your system’s performance and warranty status if you have a monitoring or O&M agreement with us.
– To contact you about your project, and occasionally about services relevant to your system (you can opt out of the latter by replying “stop” or emailing us).

## Who we share it with

Only as needed to do the job: equipment manufacturers (warranty registration), engineers and subcontractors working on your project, your utility and building department, financing partners you choose to use, our bookkeeper and accountant, and service providers that run our systems (payment processing, cloud storage, monitoring platforms). We require them to protect your information. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

We will disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights.

## How long we keep it

Project records are kept for the life of the system’s warranty and as long as tax and contractor-license law requires (generally seven years after the last transaction). Quote requests that don’t become projects are deleted after two years.

## Your choices

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we’re not legally required to keep. Email jon@jdspower.com. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA; we honor them, and we do not sell personal information.

## Security

Records are kept in access-controlled, encrypted cloud storage and on company devices with disk encryption. Only people working on your project can see your information.

## Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date above. Material changes will be sent to current customers by email.
